TELETEXT GALLERY
ITV NIGHTSCREEN

A rotating sequence of pages which is currently broadcast, we believe, on all ITV regions except Central for an hour or so at approx 0400.

Their transmission from a dedicated file server, rather than the main broadcast system allows much more rapid animation. As a result the pages are highly reminiscent of earlier 4-Tel on View sequences broadcast before Channel 4 went 24 hours/day.

Maybe we should start a campaign to get this feature extended, to bring back Art of Landscape and have the Test Card formally reinstated!

Here you can see the old ITV logo, pre-September 1998.
