TELETEXT GALLERY
NOW & WHEN?

Andrew Wiseman wrote pointing out the similarities between the Now and Next pages on the BBC's CEEFAX page 606 and the ITV equivalent on ITV's Teletext. He says:

"...the whole box seems to be a direct copy of the Now and Next page from Teletext - even down to the colours used for the number of each channel, which makes no sense. The colours chosen on Teletext match the fastext link colours - e.g. the 1 is red and if you press red you go to BBC One's listings. (OK so 5 is magenta and doesn't count.) But on the BBC the fastext links are to completely different pages.

"The "Now and Next" title also has different colours for each word, for some reason, and Ceefax have even copied this.

"Perhaps Mike Brown can get some grabs for evidence..."
